Hobbs, Inc. is a supporter of the arts in Fairfield County. Hobbs is a sponsor of the Annual Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County’s annual Arts, Culture, & Empowerment Awards.
Scott has been a member of the New Canaan chapter of the Rotary service organization since 2000 and is a Past President.
In 2017, Hobbs Care worked with Make-a- Wish Connecticut to grant the wish of Ayla, her wished for a treehouse in her backyard to spend time with friends and family. Ayla has a medical condition which keeps her from attending school causing her to miss out on everyday childhood interaction.
Ian Hobbs volunteers as a Trustee of the board of the New Canaan Library.
Hobbs, Inc. worked through Building Homes for Heroes along with Nordic Builders and other sponsors to build a home for a Marine veteran in Ellington, Connecticut. The wounded vet had lost both legs and sustained severe injuries to his right arm. Click here to read a full article.
Hobbs, Inc. is proud to support Swim Across America, which has raised more than $3 million in funds for the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy and its grants. Lorrie Lorenz (wife of Hobbs, Inc. COO Walter Lorenz), is the co-chair of the SAA Greenwich-Stamford fundraising event in honor of their daughter’s successful cancer treatment.
