The site for this home was carved into a steep slope, creating plateaus with retaining. It is an elegant English country residence for a family of four with the most notable space in the house is a private library called “The Library of the History of Human Imagination.” Transparent hand-etched platforms and panels are lit with color-changing fiber-optics set to music. There are over 38,000 books and artifacts in this winding, 3-story, 3,500 sf space. It has been featured in “Wired Magazine” and “Celebrated Living,” as well as providing the forum for a TED talk by the home’s owner.
